The Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT, Chandigarh Shri V.P. Singh Badnore inaugurates a new Indian Oil Retail Outlet to be run by CITCO in Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, 20th August 2021 : In order to meet the continuously growing demand for petrol in the city, Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) started its 6th Petrol & CNG station at Industrial Area , Phase 1 on Hallo Majra Road Chandigarh here today . CITCO caters to a large number of vehicles from its existing five petrol stations spread across the tricity.
A new state of the art Indian Oil (IOCL) fuel Outlet at Chandigarh’s Industrial Area Phase-I was dedicated to the customers today by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator UT Chandigarh, Shri VP Singh Badnore in the presence of Shri Dharampal, IAS, Advisor to Administrator of UT Chandigarh; Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Hon’ble Mayor, Chandigarh; Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary (Home) UT Chandigarh cum Chairman CITCO , Ms Jasvinder Kaur Sidhu , IAS , Managing Director CITCO , Mr Rubinderjit Singh Brar , PCS , Chief General Manager CITCO & Sh. SM Vaidya, Chairman, Indian Oil; Sh. Sujoy Choudhury, Executive Director and State Head, Indian Oil Punjab State Office and other Senior officials from Chandigarh administration and Indian Oil officials.
This new Indian Oil Retail Outlet, located at Industrial Area Phase I of Chandigarh, will significantly add to the convenience of residents in the surrounding areas by reducing their travelling time for fuel requirements. CITCO shall operate the outlet. During the event, the first LPG composite cylinder was also handed over to His Excellency, Governor of Punjab & Administrator UT Chandigarh, Shri VP Singh Badnore by the Chairman IOCL.
According to the Managing Director CITCO, presently, CITCO owns five petrol pumps in the city including the compressed natural gas (CNG) dispensing pump on Madhya Marg in Sector 17. With the addition of 6th Pump, we can massively meet the demand of the residents , especially the traffic on the National Highway moving towards Delhi and it will add to its revenues.
