Recipe Of the Month


Murg Toofani Tikka

Ingredients:

Chicken kg (Boneless) - 850 gms
Hung Curd - 300 gms
Cream - 300 ml
Garlic paste - 20 gm
English Mustard paste - 100 gm
Egg Yolk - 1 NO.
Chopped garlic - 25 gm
Chopped curry leaves - 10 gm
Salt -  To taste
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - A pinch
Roasted semolina - 25 gm
Saffron - 2 pinch
Corn flour  - 10 gm
Lemon juice - 30 ml
Refined Oil - 80 ml
Melted Butter  - for Basting

Method

  • Clean, wash and cut each chicken leg into 4 pcs.
  • In a bowl whisk hung curd, add the remaining ingredients in the order listed and mix.
  • Rub the chicken pieces with this mixture and keep aside for 2-3 hours.
  • Take a skewer and skew the marinated chicken pieces.
  • Roast in a moderately hot tandoor.
  • Remove and hang the skewer to let excess moisture drain out completely. Paste with melted butter and roast with another 3 to 4 min.
  • Transfer cooked chicken into plate.
  • Serve hot with choice of salad and chutney.
